All rates are per hour, per support worker, and include on-costs, insurance, supervision and care notes. Travel within town is included; for properties outside town, any travel arrangement is agreed in writing before the first visit. Care management is 10% of your quarterly budget and is deducted by the program — it is not added to these rates.

Travel, agreed upfront

In town, travel is included. On properties outside town, we group visits and agree the arrangement in writing — so you are not paying for windscreen time.

No minimum visit

A one-hour visit is a one-hour charge. We do not round up to two.

No admin fees

Statements, plan reviews, phone support and care coordination are included in the 10% care management.

A worked example

What a week might look like.

Here is a real shape of support for someone on Level 6 — three personal care visits, a clean, and a trip out each week.

This example is illustrative. Your plan, budget and contribution will be confirmed in writing before services begin.

See the budget for each level

Example weekly plan — Level 6
SupportHoursCost
Personal care — Mon, Wed, Fri3$405.00
Domestic assistance — Tuesday2$260.00
Social support — Thursday1$130.00
Care management (10% of budget)—$88.33
Drawn from your budget6$883.33

A Level 6 budget is $12,341.32 per quarter — about $949.33 per week before care management. Personal care is fully funded, so your own contribution would apply only to the domestic and social support hours, at the rate set by your income and assets assessment.

Fees and policies

The fine print, in large type.

Care management — 10%

Ten per cent of your quarterly budget funds your care manager, plan development and reviews, coordination with health professionals, and the administration behind every visit. It is deducted by the program before your budget reaches us — you are never invoiced for it separately.

What we never charge

  • Exit fees or fees to transfer your budget
  • A basic daily fee
  • Package management or administration fees
  • A charge for your first conversation or care plan

Changing or cancelling a visit

Give us 24 hours' notice and there is no charge. For late cancellations we may charge 50% of the scheduled time, because your worker has kept that time for you. We will always tell you before it applies, and we waive it for hospital admissions and emergencies.

If your budget runs low

We tell you before it happens, not after. You can reduce hours, pause services, top up privately, or ask for a reassessment. Nobody is left without support because of an administrative surprise.

Pricing questions

Asked and answered.

Anything unclear? Call 0418 862 850 and ask for a written quote. We will send one the same day.

Why do weekend rates cost more?
Weekend and public holiday work attracts higher award wages for our team. We pass on the difference rather than averaging it across all hours, so weekday clients are not subsidising weekend visits.
Do I pay for travel time?
In town, no. If you are on a property outside town, we agree a travel arrangement in writing before the first visit — usually by planning your visits in blocks on the same day.
Can I mix funded and private services?
Yes. Many clients use their Support at Home budget for eligible services and pay privately for extras — extra cleaning, a longer outing, or support while they wait for an assessment. Both appear separately on your statement.
How does my contribution get calculated?
Services Australia assesses your income and assets and tells you the contribution rate that applies. It is the same rate whichever provider you choose. We can help you read the letter and estimate your weekly out-of-pocket cost.
What happens if prices change?
Rates are reviewed annually, usually on 1 July and 1 October in line with government subsidy changes. We give at least 30 days' written notice before any increase, and this page is updated the same day.
